Shannon “The Cannon” Hudson: A Top Entrepreneur of 2019
Written by Taylor Stephens, Jul 31, 2019
Last month, our fearless leader, Shannon “The Cannon” Hudson, was recognized for his passionate mindset and forward-thinking that have helped mold 9Round into the empowering fitness franchise it is today! We are incredibly proud of the steps Shannon has taken to pave the way for 9Round, allowing it to become a fitness revolution with over 800 locations worldwide.
Hudson was named a 2019 Finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year ® award in the Southeast. Considered one of the highest business awards programs in the country, it’s no surprise that the founder of such a revolutionary fitness franchise deserved this recognition. Overall, there were thirty-five finalists honored at a gala for the Southeast region.
As Ernst Young Global Limited’s website states, this program “strives to recognize entrepreneurs and leaders of high-growth companies who are excelling in areas such as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities, while also transforming our world.” Shannon brilliantly exemplifies all of these traits, as he strives to find new ways to improve the 9Round brand even further. His dedication and personal commitment are ever-present through his teachings and involvement in training franchise owners.
Hudson had this to say, regarding the recognition:
“Words cannot even begin to explain how proud I feel to have been considered a 2019 finalist for one of the most prominent business awards. When my wife Heather and I started 9Round in 2008, we were motivated by having no ‘Plan B’ to fall back on. Because of this, I have stayed focused on cultivating and enhancing the brand, which in return has helped me become a better business leader.”
